  1. CALL ASPD WITH THE OFFICIAL DISTRICT PURCHASE ORDER NUMBER BEFORE you complete this online registration process (773.965.3276).
  2. ASPD will provide you a code to use when completing the online registration form.

AFTER receiving the code from ASPD:

  1. Complete the online registration form for each attendee.
  2. Select Promotional Code (found just above the ORDER button).
  3. Enter the code. The registration fee will change to $0 and you will NOT be prompted for any online payment when 'checking out'.
  4. Complete all information in the online registration. Up to 50 attendees may be registered at one time, up to the dollar value of the purchase order.
  5. ASPD will invoice the school/district for the services.

ASPD reserves the right to refuse admission or cancel registrations for registrants whose fees exceed the dollar value of the purchase order.

OVERVIEW 

Register Workshop Lunch Credits
8:30am 9:00am-3:00pm ON YOUR OWN - Restaurant on site.  Others are available in the immediate area. 5 IL CPDUs for Teachers.  5 contact hours for others.

 

CREDIT:

IL CPDU and IAA rules, as well as those of other certification/licensing bodies, require that those seeking credit of any type must be on time and present for the FULL DAY (no partial credits available for those who arrive late, leave early, or who are not in the workshop room for the duration of ALL sessions within the program. 

 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This workshop will provide information and experiences to ...

  • Develop knowledge and understanding about what is needed to implementat the Common Core Standards in this grade level
  • Design and develop CCSS-aligned curriculum for this grade level
  • content of content of the standards, the design, the differences between CCSS and current standards, and how to implement them into a  curricular framework
  • Develop and evaluate student assessments and materials for alignment to Common
    Core Standards

Special emphasis will be placed on addressing issues related to application of the standards to address the needs of ELLs, Students with Disabilities, and those currently underachieving.

 

KEY QUESTIONS TO BE ADDRESSED

  • What are the critical differences and major shifts between CCSS ELA Standards and the current state standards for this grade level?
  • How do we use the new instructional frameworks to redesign curriculum, instruction, and classroom assessment for this grade level?
  • What should be considered to address the needs of special populations (ELL, students with disabilities, and struggling students) to increase their likelihood of success on the new PARCC assessments for this grade level?
  • How do we identify or develop CCSS-aligned materials and resources using new publishers’ criteria?


CANCELLATION, ADMISSION, AND REFUND POLICY

ASPD reserves the right to cancel events at any time for any reason and will issue a FULL REFUND if an event is cancelled.  

ASPD is pleased to permit participants to TRANSFER their registration to another, or to TRANSFER a payment to another ASPD event at least a full 24 hours prior to the start of the ORIGINAL event that the participant wishes to transfer from, provided such notice is sent in an email to registration@aspdgroup.com.  ASPD does NOT issue refunds for regsitrations cancelled or not attended by the attendee 

ASPD is unable to transfer fees for those who do not attend and do not notify ASPD at least a full 24 hours prior to the start time of the event.  As such, the registrant forfeits all payments.

ASPD, at its sole discretion, may refuse admission to anyone who is disruptive to the event or other participants.  No refunds are issued to those who are refused admission to an ASPD event, or any part thereof.
